In the church graveyard there’s a different kind of quiet. It turns out to be no surprise that the handsome Gothic building is the Coroner’s Court. It’s convenient after all. Erected 1886. A tablet set in the wall commemorates the work of the Sanitary Committee that placed it here, among the medieval bones of the churchyard.
